Overview
Webmail allows you to access your email accounts through any browser. You may wish to use this feature if you need to check your email but cannot currently access your own computer.
Access Webmail
To access Webmail directly, navigate to https://example.com:2096
, where example.com
represents your email address's domain. For more information, read our How to Log in to Your Server or Account documentation.
To access Webmail via the cPanel interface, navigate to cPanel's Email Accounts interface (cPanel >> Home >> Email >> Email Accounts). Then, in the Email Accounts tab, locate the email account in the list and click Access Webmail. The Webmail interface will open in a new browser tab.
Default Webmail application
If you have not logged in to Webmail before, or if you have not set a default, the initial Webmail interface will display the logos for three Webmail applications.
- Click an application's logo to access Webmail via that application. For more information to help you choose a Webmail application, read our Which Webmail Application Should I Choose documentation.
- Click Set as Default to automatically open Webmail in the selected application each time that you log in.
Disk usage
The top-right corner of the interface displays your email account's current disk usage. Click this value to navigate to the Email Disk Usage interface (cPanel >> Home >> Email >> Email Disk Usage), which you can use to ensure that you do not exceed your quota.
cPanel users can change the quota for email accounts in the Email Accounts interface (cPanel >> Home >> Email >> Email Accounts).
User Settings
In the top-right corner of the interface, click your email address to access the User Settings menu.
You can set any of listed interfaces as the default interface when you log in to Webmail. For example, if you click the star icon (
) for the Track Delivery option in the menu, when you log in, Webmail will automatically open in the Track Delivery interface (cPanel >> Home >> Email >> Track Delivery).
