(WHM >> Home >> Account Functions >> Create a New Account)
To modify the settings for a new account, select the options that you wish to apply to the account.
To access all of the options listed below, you must select Select Options Manually under the Package heading.
Assigns the new account a static IP address. Other accounts do not share the IP address unless you specifically configure other accounts to use the same IP address.
We strongly recommend this option for reseller accounts.
- After you select the Dedicated IP checkbox, select the IP address from the Select the IP Address menu, or select Auto Assign to allow the system to assign an IP address automatically.
- Unreserved IP addresses populate this menu. For more information about reserved IP addresses, read our Show Edit Reserved IPs documentation.
If you create a package with this option enabled, you cannot change this option later.
|Shell Access||Allows the user access to the server through the command line interface.|
|CGI Access||Allows the new account to execute CGI scripts.|
|Digest Authentication for Web Disk|
Enables Digest Authentication support for Web Disk access over a clear text or unencrypted connection.
- You must select this option if your server uses a self-signed certificate.
- Users with Windows Vista®, Windows® 7, and Windows® 8 operating systems require that you select this option.
Assgins the theme for the user's cPanel account.
You can select the default style for new accounts in WHM's Customization interface (WHM >> Home >> cPanel >> Customization).
|Locale||Assigns the new account's language. Select the locale from the Locale menu.|
|Enable Apache SpamAssassin™|
Enable or disable Apache SpamAssassin's Spam Filters on the new cPanel account.
You cannot modify this setting if you enable the Apache SpamAssassin™: Forced Global ON setting in WHM's Exim Configuration Manager interface (WHM >> Home >> Service Configuration >> Exim Configuration Manager).
