The WHM interface provides the server's
root user and resellers with access to all of WHM's server administration features.
The WHM interface consists of the following sections:
WHM's top navigation bar remains visible as you navigate throughout the WHM interface.
You may also see important server notices in this section of the interface. For example, if the most recent attempt to upgrade cPanel & WHM failed, you may see a The last attempt to update cPanel & WHM was blocked. warning, which you can click to review a list of upgrade blockers.
In the top right corner of the interface, you have two sets of options:
Click the lifesaver icon () in the top right of the interface to view the Support menu.
By default, the interface only displays a selection of the most helpful features in WHM. To view all of WHM's sections and features in the Home interface, set the View toggle to Classic.
You can also use the side navigation menu to access cPanel & WHM's other features.
The side navigation menu in WHM provides access to all of WHM's interfaces, and allows you to quickly search for specific features. For more information about WHM's features and interfaces, read our WHM Features List documentation.
We hide this menu by default. To show or hide this menu, click the expand () or collapse () icons, respectively. You can also click View All Features at the bottom of the interface to expand this menu.
If the side navigation menu is collapsed, the Explore WHM section appears at the bottom of the interface.
The first time that you log in to WHM, the interface displays an Important Next Steps section with quick access to important actions for new servers.
To restore this section of the interface after you hide it, run the following command as the
sed -i '/home:hide_important_next_steps/d' /var/cpanel/whm/nvdata/root.yaml
The WHM Home interface provides quick access to the features that manage cPanel & WHM servers and accounts.
By default, we hide Feature Showcase items on new installations until new items are available for the next server update. For more information and steps to view these items, read our Guide to the Feature Showcase documentation.
Servers that use a trial license display a banner above the WHM Home interface's icons. This banner displays the server's trial license status, and you can click Purchase a License to buy a full cPanel, Inc. license. For more information, read our How to Purchase a cPanel License documentation.
If you have enabled cPanel Analytics at the server level, a lightbulb icon () will appear on the right side of the interface. Click the icon to display your account-level cPanel Analytics options. Select Allow to enable cPanel Analytics for your account, or select Deny to disable it.
Plugin developers should make certain to respect user privacy. We strongly recommend that you anonymize any data that you collect for analysis.

When you log in to WHM for the first time on a new cPanel & WHM server, the system prompts you to accept our End User License Agreement (EULA). This agreement provides the terms under which you use cPanel, Inc.'s software. Read the EULA carefully.
/var/cpanel/activate/directory. To continue to use cPanel & WHM, you must accept the EULA again the next time that you log in.
